I bought this book as a "required textbook" for the course that is for learning Pet Loss Grief Counseling. Little did I know that the AUTHOR of this book is the one that "teaches" that course and he is extremely verbally abusive. He will respond to essay questions with "NO!" or "NOT WHAT YOUR READING SAID!" in red text and will berate you and tell you how you are making no sense or what you have written is pointless because it isn't strictly what he wrote in his book. First of all - don't buy this book. It is outdated and will only make you hate yourselves for ever grieving a pet. Secondly - if you are considering taking his course through the Association of Pet Loss - DON'T.
